Leaving Wellsboro after a hearty breakfast, we’ll travel over scenic lake and rural farm land roads toward an old stone café mid-morning coffee break. Then on to Watkins Glen International Speedway for three (3) laps on the famous NASCAR race track (if it is not being used). This will be followed by a tour of the 6.6 mile 1948 Grand Prix Circuit through country roads and city streets of Watkins Glen – The Birthplace of Road Racing in America. Your tour director will provide a colorful historical report on the legendary racing history of this area. After lunch at a renovated Railway Station in the harbor on Seneca Lake, we’ll ride over the country side to view the birthplace of the first flying boat and a tour of the Glen Curtis Museum. Glen’s V/8 powered motorcycle is on display as the World’s Fastest Motorcycle at 136 mpg on Ormond Beach, Florida in l911.
